So, What's with the Raccoon, Anyway?
It's not just 'the RugCheck raccoon'. He has a name, an origin story, and several hundred token reports a second to get through.

OK so first of all, it's not just "the RugCheck raccoon", it has a name.
It's Furlock Sholmes.
When we started building RugCheck, it was in response to the huge volume of rug pulls on Solana. These tokens are simply trash, and our application had to sort through a lot of them.
You know what else is good at sorting through trash? Trash pandas, sometimes known as raccoons 🦝. It started as an inside joke, but it stuck, and it became our mascot.
Then, we Redesigned the Site Around it
We met a lot of people at Solana conferences that were excited to see "the RugCheck raccoon" in our booth, and the RugCheck merch was always very popular.
We also heard a lot of stories from people who avoided scams due to RugCheck. So when it was time to redesign the site, we went for a more heroic image! That raccoon is serving several hundred token reports per second.
Our team had a lot of fun with it. We hope it brings you some joy, even when markets are down.
